Of course, the earlier you can sell your stag tickets, the better. Aside from the obvious advantages, selling your tickets a few months before your event will give you a better idea as to how many guests to expect thus allowing you to better estimate the amount of prizes and equipment would be the most appropriate for your stag party. It also helps you give your venue / banquet hall a more accurate guest count which will save you from over estimating and therefore overpaying.

Although selling your stag tickets months in advance is the ideal scenario, it’s unfortunately not the most likely. Let’s face it. Most of your friends and acquaintances won’t even remember the date of your stag until a few days before the event itself let alone pay for a ticket months in advance. Realistically, the only people who are most likely to pay for their ticket far in advance of your party will be members of you and your fiancé’s family such as uncles, cousins, and future in-laws. Make sure you keep a list of all of the people who have paid for their tickets. This way, on the night of your stag, your appointed friend or family member (s) will know who they don’t need to collect money from at the front door. Since, typically, most people won’t be paying for their tickets in advance; it’s much easier to keep a list of those who have paid then those who haven’t.

The most common stag party practice is to give a portion of your tickets to your friends and family members to sell or distribute on your behalf. This process should begin at least 1-2 months before the date of your actual stag party. Make sure you follow up with those friends and family members whom you’ve given tickets to. As mentioned earlier, it’s important to have a rough idea of your estimated guest count. 

Although, some people may decide to pay in advance, realistically most people don’t.  The majority of guests at a stag party show up with a ticket they were given which they have not yet paid for. This is why it’s important to set up a table at the entrance of your stag party. At this table, you will have 1 or 2 trusted friends or family members which you have appointed to collect your ticket money. These appointed friends or family members will have your updated list of the people who have already paid in advance. They should assume, unless otherwise stated, that people arriving at your party have no yet paid

How much to charge for your stag party
Based on our stag party experience, the average price for a stag ticket goes from about $75 - $100 with the most common ticket price currently at $80. This price depends heavily on what your costs are and how much or how little you’re offering your guests. These averages are based on stag parties which offer the following features:
